NATO Attack: 24-Setting the Course!

Thank you NATO for waking up Pakistan!

Jawad Raza Khan
The decisions of Defence Committee in the wake of NATO’s unprovoked aggression against Pakistan Army have been hailed all across Pakistan and huge protests are still going on all along the lengths and breadths of the country. “24- Setting the course” is dedicated to the officers and men from proud Pakistan Army who belonged to each and every corner of Pakistan. This is the magnificence of Pakistani nation, we all, from anywhere in the country, not only participate in building the nation but more than proudly, we die together and colour the map of complete Pakistan with our blood. (See map of Pakistan punctuated with home towns of our great Shaheeds).
Yes! It was 25th November 2011 when Americans topped the list of coward acts in the history of mankind; when they killed 24 officers and men of Pakistan Army who happens to be guarding the frontiers of Pakistan while helping them in their so called War on Terror. Undoubtedly the loss is irreparable and demands great degree of resilience as a nation to understand digest and then react to this gutless action.
One day before the above mentioned shameless action, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that the militants have successfully targeted a US helicopter on Thursday in the Qarabagh district of Kabul Province and all 34 foreign troops on board have been killed (Reported by Press TV). Point to note, just one day after Taliban’s action against US forces, it was revenged by US in a non-soldiery, unethical and in a completely unbecoming manner. This also indicate towards the mindset of US soldiers fighting in Afghanistan, completely helpless, hopeless and shameless.
But what a big difference between 34 & 24, US media had to hide the deaths of US soldiers because it could trigger unrest in US and

can add fuel to the Wall Street campaign. On the other hand Pakistani soldiers after their unprovoked killings have been able to set a new course for this nation; the martyrs are enthusiastically hailed by cross section of Pakistani society; with their proud loved ones gratefully attaining pride after the young death of their precious one.
On the other hand, Pakistanis feels extremely sad about the friends and relatives of US soldiers who are dying to darkness and just for nothing with their bodies not taken to their homes and buried at unknown places (in order to avoid media highlights inside and outside US).
Continuous and vigorous effort of western and western owned Pakistani private media (only an exception) has now been multiplied by zero. Wedge between military and civil fabric of Pakistan was again turned down emphatically by the masses as whole of the Pakistan is now protesting against US and in favour of Pakistan Army. It is now very much understood by Pakistanis that prerequisite for west to ignite instability in any country starts after creating a clear wedge between Armed Forces and the masses. In this case, it turned out to be a debacle for US and its greedy allies because Pakistanis like its cricket team are an unpredictable entity difficult to be anticipated.
The blocking of NATO official page on Facebook for comments can easily bear the testimony of angry Pakistani youth who commented nothing but SHAME on NATO page. The administrator had to technically deal with this huge influx of cyber assault carried out by fuming Pakistani cyber militia. Resultantly NATO official had to ban the users “what else they could do”?
One more nail in the coffin is required; Pakistan may also consider denying air space to ISAF and NATO for any operation in Afghanistan. The stopped supplies for NATO will easily make them bleed from everywhere as now the Russians have also denied them supply routes after the expected failure of joint defence conference for missiles between US and Russia. Two possibilities shaking hands can leave 130000 caolition troops starving for bread and bullet in the face of fierce Talibans. What a pity!
On the other side of the border, two historic events happened in last 24 hrs, the traders union has banned all items in Pakistani
market manufactured in NATO countries; the cable operators association of Pakistan has stopped airing BBC in the wake of a stupidly made documentary against Pakistan Army and ISI “The secret of Pakistan. My dear 24 soldiers, you have done it in two hours what we couldn’t do it in 60 years, united Pakistan in an unbreakable bond against all odds.
Pakistan should play its cards sagaciously from now on, boycotting the Bonn Conference is yet another brilliant verdict and Pakistani media should not undermine it. The world knows that it is merely impossible to change the geography of a region in today’s free world. Nuclear Pakistan makes dismantling of Afghan- Pakistan relation nearly an impossible preposition, especially in the backdrop of strong religious similarities and a unique relation of a big brother with Afghans. Bonn conference without Pakistan is like “an idiot dog chasing its own tail” and Pakistan must have a firm belief that “dog will not be able to catch up”.
24- Have indeed changed the course “Well Done Soldiers”!

What about Israel’s nuclear weapons?

By   Patrick B. Pexton Readers periodically ask me some variation on this question: “Why does the press follow every jot and tittle of Iran’s nuclear program, but we never see any stories about Israel’s nuclear weapons capability?” It’s a fair question. Going back 10 years into Post archives, I could not find any in-depth reporting on Israeli nuclear capabilities, although national security writer  Walter Pincus  has touched on it  many times in his articles and  columns . I spoke with several experts in the nuclear and nonproliferation fields , and they say that the lack of reporting on Israel’s nuclear weapons is real — and frustrating. There are some obvious reasons for this, and others that are not so obvious. First, Israel refuses to acknowledge publicly that it has nuclear weapons. The U.S. government also officially does not acknowledge the existence of such a program. Israel’s official position, as reiterated by Aaron Sagui, spokesman fo...

Pakistan can never be Madina E Saani

By Nadeem Sajjad. Pakistan is a land loved by many and lived in by millions. It has been witnessed in the past --and somewhat in the present age – that the origin of the name (word) “Pakistan” has had many different accounts of its creators/inventors. Known to be the most accurate of all accounts, is the one of the much respected Chaudhry Rehmat Ali. Others have the concept that the word “Pakistan” was given to the Muslims of India, after the success of Lahore resolution in 1940, by the Hindus of the subcontinent and was then used by Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in his presidential address to the All India Muslim League annual session at Delhi on 24 April 1943. Whatever may be the origin, the Muslims got their own land to practice their religion Islam, and to maintain their traditions. The thing that should be emphasized upon is that the country was created in the name of Islam.  Knowing the origin is one thing, but naming the country or the name itself to something els...

Pakistani Pilots in Arab Israel War

45 years after the 1967 war: How the Arabs lost Jerusalem War is normally measured by its final outcome, but many individual heroes gave up their lives for the Arab side during the 1967 Six-Day War. (Image courtesy AP)   By  ALI YOUNES   SPECIAL TO AL ARABIYA This past June marked the 45th anniversary of the Arab defeat of the 1967 war. War is normally measured by its final outcome, but many individual heroes faithfully gave up their lives for the Arab side, defending the honor of their nations. The actions of those men deserve to be highlighted and explained, especially the contributions of the Pakistani pilot Saiful Azam and the brave Jordanian soldiers of the battle of Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem. At 12:48 p.m. on June 5, four Israeli jets were descending on Jordan’s Mafraq air base to smash the country’s tiny air force, shortly after the entire Egyptian air force had been reduced to rubble.  To intercept the incoming attack, ...
