America Falling!

How Steinbeck 'Predicted' a Decline and Fall of America by Len Hart, The Existentialist Cowboy     There are MANY differences between the GOP and Democrats! Enough to write books about! Why, then, has the meme taken hold that there are no differences between the parties? That's found in 'Right Wing Campaigning 101', better known as a GOP 'Campaign Manual'. There exist such manuals, produced for candidates by their highly paid consultants. At one time, I had several of these large tomes. Lesson no 1 states (in effect): in appropriate situations, it is to your candidate's advantage to BLUR the distinction between the candidates. Generally, the GOP is a minority party. It is often to their advantage to convince the public that Dems are just GOP-lite! It "ain't" necessarily so! For a start: EVERY Democratic President since WWII has enjoyed greater GDP and JOB CREATION rates than has any GOP President. No one was surpr

Putin Is Demonized While Democracy Fails In Amerika

As Putin has said, “we know what Comrade Wolf is up to.” But what about the human rights organizations? What are they up to? Have they been incorporated into Washington’s propaganda machine, like the Western media, or are they latching on to Pussy Riot as a visibility and fundraising issue for themselves? By: Paul Craig Roberts The latest “rights group” to jump on Russia’s President Putin about Pussy Riot is RootsAction. Following the propaganda line that Washington has established, RootsAction’s appeal for money and petition signers states that the three Russian women were sentenced to two years in prison “for the ‘crime’ of performing a song against Russia’s president Vladimir Putin in a Moscow church.” This statement is a propagandistic misrepresentation of the offense for which the women were tried and convicted. I have expressed my sympathies for the convicted women, and as a member of Amnesty International and the American Civil Liberties Union, I support hu

Global Peace and Security

President Obama and Mankind at Crossroads By Mahboob A. Khawaja, PhD. The Obama’s presidency was seen a fantasy to the centuries old white legacy of the White House. The power and its glorification associated with the White House have not resulted in any ground breaking discoveries even after Obama’s entry to the Washington landscape. The crucial challenge Obama faces is how to cope with change and adaptability to a New Beginning that he envisaged but betrayed by conscientious compromise to ensure his own political survival. Paul Craig Roberts called him “The World’s Least Powerful Man – the Obama Puppet.” Obama did not pave the way to hell for the unwanted wars but found it already paved by George Bush to keep on solo walking to entrapment – the Madness of Unthinking. Politics is a game of new and creative ideas not a fixed entity or an end to itself. Those who perceive “points of no return” and scramble “red lines” indulge in self-geared acts of absurdity and can

Who are the Khariji/Khawariji and Neo-Khwariji

By Ahmad Imran The Oxford Dictionary of Islam defines the Kharijis as "Seceders, early sectarian group in Islam, neither Sunni nor Shi'i." The Concise encyclopedia of Islam defines them in a more comprehensive style as: A sect that arose in opposition to both Ali(KAW) and Mua'wiyah. They ,the Kharijis, had been part of Ali(KAW) army and they felt that the the matter between Mua'wiyah and Ali (KAW) could only be decided upon by God(SWT) by virtue of battle. However what the encyclopedia does not say is that in the field of battle, whence Mua'wiyah realized the battle was lost, he resolved to " appeal to Muslim sense of piety" by raising lances with pages of Qur'an tied on them as a means to stop the battle to ask for talks instead, it is here that the Kharijjis went against Hazrat Ali's(KAW) advice to not negotiate with Mua'wiyah and angered him tremendously. The encyclopedia initially refers to the Kharijis as "

Indian Occupied Kashmir: Sadbhavana

India’s deceptive Operation Sadbhavana in occupied Kashmir By Brig (Retd) Asif Haroon Raja   Apart from the ruler of Kashmir Maharaja Hari Singh’s deplorable role in 1947 of signing the instrument of accession of the state to India against the wishes of people of Kashmir and subsequent invasion and forceful occupation of two-third Kashmir by Indian forces, Kashmiris have also been betrayed by their own leaders. Sheikh Abdullah who first lit the flame of hope of liberty from Dogra Raj in early 1930s by forming National Conference, he let down his people by becoming a courtier of India. When he became reluctant to ratify Article 370 of Indian Constitution to make occupied Kashmir integral part of India, he was betrayed by Nehru whom he regarded as his close friend and mentor. He was arrested and he languished in jail from 1953-58. He was again interned from 1958 to 1964 and again from 1964 till 1974. Once he gave in he was appointed chief minister of the state in 1977

Pakistani Pilots in Arab Israel War

45 years after the 1967 war: How the Arabs lost Jerusalem War is normally measured by its final outcome, but many individual heroes gave up their lives for the Arab side during the 1967 Six-Day War. (Image courtesy AP)   By  ALI YOUNES   SPECIAL TO AL ARABIYA This past June marked the 45th anniversary of the Arab defeat of the 1967 war. War is normally measured by its final outcome, but many individual heroes faithfully gave up their lives for the Arab side, defending the honor of their nations. The actions of those men deserve to be highlighted and explained, especially the contributions of the Pakistani pilot Saiful Azam and the brave Jordanian soldiers of the battle of Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem. At 12:48 p.m. on June 5, four Israeli jets were descending on Jordan’s Mafraq air base to smash the country’s tiny air force, shortly after the entire Egyptian air force had been reduced to rubble.  To intercept the incoming attack, Jordanian air force
